Well, it certainly is a little bit on the chilly side of things at the moment! However, that just means that it is the perfect weather to get those lovely chunky yarns out to crochet blankets, hats, scarves and all manner of warm things!
And speaking of warm things, I finally finished my daughter’s pram blanket. (To be fair I did finish it a while ago but just haven’t had the time to post about it on here!) I used a chunky baby yarn from Aldi and I absolutely loved working with this yarn. It worked up very quickly and it is super soft. It has literally been the perfect blanket to keep our little love nice and warm when we’re out on our adventures together. I can’t remember exactly how much the yarn was, but I do remember thinking that it was such a good deal and it really is a lovely quality yarn.
I followed the 12 point star blanket pattern from the Bella Coco website. It was a really easy pattern to follow and I think you’ll agree that the finished product is absolutely gorgeous. I just continued crocheting until I thought it looked about the right size. I will confess that it is rather large…I think I got a bit carried away and was just enjoying making it. But that just means it keeps little love extra warm and snuggly!
I also have a few other projects on the go at the moment. I am currently making a really cute cardigan for my daughter. I am working from a pattern that I found in Hobbycraft and as you can probably see, it is basically made up of double crochet stitches, so it is a really good one to work on in the evenings whilst watching some Netflix.
And finally, I was a little late to the party on this one (I believe it actually started on Wednesday this week), but I have ordered The Coronation Keepsake Blanket Crochet Along. It’s on back order, and I should hopefully receive the yarn bundle at the beginning of next week. I think it has been so popular that it very quickly sold out everywhere! So, I will have to play a bit of catch up when it arrives but I am quite excited to get started on this. I do love a good crochet along!
